Coagulant Polyelectrolyte / Cationic Polyelectrolyte / Polyacrylamide (PAM)

Cationic Polyacrylamide (CPAM) is a premium linear polymeric compound engineered with active functional groups for high-performance adsorption and hydrogen bonding. As a high-efficiency cationic polyelectrolyte, it is primarily used for the flocculation of negatively charged colloidal particles in industrial wastewater treatment. It is widely applied in industries such as metallurgy, coal washing, paper manufacturing, food processing, and oil recovery for superior solid-liquid separation and sludge dewatering.

Our powdered Cationic PAM facilitates rapid clarification of sewage by utilizing positive charge neutralization. It is highly effective in both acidic and alkaline media. For advanced organic wastewater treatment, CPAM is often used in combination with Poly-Aluminium Chloride (PAC) to treat complex effluents from breweries, sugar refineries, and textile dyeing plants, effectively removing harmful organic solvents, sulfides, and hydrocarbons before discharge.

Preparation & Dosage Recommendations

For maximum efficacy, our technical team recommends a polymer solution concentration of 0.1% (1g to 3g of powder per 1 liter of water).

Key Application Factors:
High Molecular Weight: Use a more dilute distribution (0.1%) to ensure complete polymer activation.
Equipment Constraints: For small preparation tanks with high daily demand, a slightly denser grade (0.3%) may be used.
Operational Efficiency: Excessive concentration can overload agitator motors and cause poor dispersion. Proper dilution is essential to enhance the settling effect and reduce operational costs.
